At some point prior to her sister's wedding, Kate was sexually assaulted while walking in Central Park. The event initially left Kate traumatized and even more isolated. However, the ordeal eventually motivated her to learn several forms of combat.She quickly became proficient in swordplay, archery, and martial arts. She also met with a therapist during this time to work through some of her issues.So you can understand that if something like this would happen, like someone randomly touching her or hitting on her, she will react negatively to it. I'm not going to ignore this part of her character.I do the "ships with chem" thing for a reason. I don't care if our characters have a history, chemistry matters with the writter too.
I have come to the decision that even though I will watch Hawkeye, my portrayal of Kate will probably be mostly comic book based.I will interact with MCU based accounts, but don't expect Kate to act like her MCU counterpart.They'll not do her backstory 100% which really sucks because Kate is a survivor and it plays an important role on her character.As her being a survivor is one of the key reasons why she wanted to fight crime and take up the mantle of Hawkeye, I will not change this. This is part of her character.
